As
I prepare my final blog of my Master’s program, I would like to share about
three deeply felt learning from this course. The first thing is the need for me
to continue to educate myself in the field of early childhood. I feel that this
is important, especially if I am going to work with and on the behalf of young children.
Plus continuous learning helps me to stay abreast of the latest research and
best practices that work well with children.
The next thing that I learned is that field is still in need of more
quality early childhood professionals with more and more mothers having to
return to work to help provide for the family, more children are entering
childcare programs all across the country and they are in need of quality,
knowledgeable early childhood professionals that can rise to the call. Lastly, the
need to embrace the families that we serve is another thing that I learned. Embracing
the families will be the greatest way for us to help the children that we
serve.
One
long term goal that I have for myself is to bring to reality my capstone
project. I really would one day like to put this challenge and response into
action, because there is a need for such programs to exist in my community.
To
my colleagues and instructor, I would really like to thank each of you for your
continued support all through-out this program. It has been a long and tough
journey, but thank God we made it. I wish each of you the best in all of your
endeavors and my God keep each and every last one of you and you continue to go
forth in your professional careers.
